design and construction management and construction inspection for the
rehabilitation and reconstruction of the original 1917 bulkhead at Buffalo
Bayou.Task II - Responsible for design, construction management and
construction inspection for the redevelopment and rehabilitation of the
original Allen’s Landing Park, including all hardscape, softscape and
landscape services.

Project Description:
RBI’s
responsibilities included construction management of two separate overlapping
contracts, one for the repair and stabilization of an existing 1911 historic
bulkhead and one for the construction of the new park to emphasize this
historic area of Houston. As the Construction Manager for the City, we
provided the management, coordination, oversight and inspection of the work of
several contractors employed by the City for this project. Also provided
scheduling, cost control, reporting, full time inspection, management
of the independent quality assurance and compliance testing. In addition, RBI
coordinated and managed the project work interface with adjacent construction
on Commerce Street, with METRO’s work on the Main Street Bridge as part of
their Main Street Rail Program, and with adjacent property owners to maintain
access to their property during the 10-month construction schedule. |
