Project Description:
Design of
secondary exits for six HISD schools to conform to current safety code
requirements.
Services Provided:
Project included design of secondary egress from dead-end corridors for
six HISD elementary schools to conform to current life safety code
requirements.
Designed a door opening in the existing load bearing masonry wall at the
second floor. Design of structural steel lintel to fit inside the wall.
Designed the steel stairway and platform including their foundations in
compliance with NFPA 101 Life Safety Code.
